Shiftable 2WD/4WD system provides the efficiency of two-wheel drive while retaining the ability to select 4WD quickly via a dash-mounted lever when conditions demand.

Advanced transmission
The availability of both automatic and manual shifting functions gives you the best of both worlds. Choose AT mode for fully automatic shifting, or override the AT settings on the fly with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. Want to shift manually? Simply choose MT mode and operate the five speed transmission manually with the paddle shifters. It’s the best of all worlds.

Smooth shifting
By re-tuning the transmission’s automatic-mode shift map, and revising gear ratios, engineers were able to make the Pioneer 520 and even smoother operator even in tough conditions.

Working with a heavy load just got a whole lot easier. The Pioneer 520’s gas-assisted tilt box can carry a full 450 lb of wood, gravel, tools, and feed with a slot for 3/4 inch plywood and patterned slots shaped into the bed for milk crates and buckets. And with a secure tailgate and a suite of available Pro-ConnectTM modular accessories, you might never run out of ways to put your Pioneer to work. But when it is time to take a break, enjoy the added comfort of the cup holder rings in the tailgate.
